Getting in the winter spirit

Hello,
As you probably know it is almost winter and when winter starts its time to bring out the Christmas decorations. A few blog posts ago i wrote about Autumn and i thought i should do one for winter but of course a little different.
I when on my tumblr and found a few of my favourite winter/Christmas pictures.

This video is by macbarbie07 and she shows a few DIYs for Christmas

Ways to get into the Christmas spirit
  • decorate your room! go on pintrest or were every you go to get ideas on decorating and decorate the crap out of your room, house, apartment were ever you want!
  • Turn on some Christmas music! from 'all I Want For Christmas is You' to 'Chestnuts'! ( And sing along if you want!)
  • Bake a batch of Christmas cookies! it doesn't have to bee cookies but something christmasey!
  • I know this will not be for every one but, go to Starbucks and get a Christmas drink! I think with the red Christmas cup and the hot drink your drinking makes me feel a little more involved with Christmas
  • Buy an advent calender or make some count down to Christmas
  • read some Christmas books. there a wide variety, fro the grin to the night before Christmas, from a Christmas coral to the polar bear express!
  • Get out of the house! go down to the mall and pick out something christmasey! breath in the crisp winter air!
Hope this helped,
Mina

winter make-up

Hello,
If you didn't already know this years winter make up look is pretty similar to falls look.
The trends are nude or bold lip colours but not pinks and orange's but red and fuchsias.

For eyes, neutral eye shadows (if any at all) are best, and of course winged eye liner. ( i would chose the naked basics pallet since the colours and nice and simple)

For face the flawless skin is back in, make sure you don't go crazy with bronzer and blusher and just focus on covering the redness and blemishes.
And always make sure that your make up isn't  bad colour for winter. for winter like i said don't go for bright colours, but if you still wanna go with a bright make up look go for a silver.
Hope this helps,
Mina

Winter fashion

Hello there,
You probably don't know this but i live in a small town next to Vancouver, so when fall and winter come it gets pretty cold out side. Vancouver (Canada in general) is very famous for its winter wear and a lot of people from around the world come here to buy the great winter wear we produce. (That was just a little fun fact for you)
This year in the Vancouver area, the winter style has been pretty strait forward. for women it has been simple bottoms and shoes and layering on the top. (ex. a knit sweater and a vest over it) For men it was basically the same as women. layers ad basic bottoms. scarfs have also been in but there really popular for men this winter. earthy tones are in for women but also rich colours too.
And just to b clear this style isn't just for Vancouver its in a bunch of places. And another trend is to wear plaid, when you layer you can through on a plaid blouse and hen put on a wooly cardigian.
Hope this helps, Mina
